lindsay has been doing hair PROFESSIONALLY since 2014. After beauty school she worked at a salon for 4 years with a nationally recognized apprenticeship program where she studied color as a specialty for over two years.

What drives you to do hair?

This is one I could go on about. Aside from the beauty I find in nature, fashion, art, runways, or simply life around us, my first and most important inspirations in life would be my parents. My mother who has been a registered nurse for over 30 years and my father who is a Doctor of Psychology. They are both natural nurturers in all aspects of their lives. Growing up watching them help others physically and mentally inspired me to find the passion to help clients feel their best, let their guard down, and be comfortable with me so we can reach their hair goal(s) as a team. Another huge motivation is earning and keeping my clients trust. Hair is a major part of  our self expression and a main physical feature. It is an honor once I know I have hit new ground with clients and their trust. It’s nothing I take lightly and something I strive to retain.

what have you learned from your advanced education?

as a more seasoned artist I have kept my love for color and expanded into extensions. I am certified by Hot Heads Hair Extensions in tape-in, sew-in methods. Coupling my specialties with product knowledge and styling classes are something that keep me flavored and inspired to assure my clients looks never grow stale.

Life and hobbies outside of work?

Outside of work I am a gym rat and love to cook! Distance running is my meditation and love that starts everyday before work. I also enjoy traveling as much as possible with family and friends. My family is my most cherished thing in life, I spend time with them weekly and adore the memories we make together- they are my biggest inspiration.

Best hair tips:

This could go in many directions. But I would start with two things; The foundation, shampoo and conditioner. Not only will drugstore products do damage on the color of you hair, but it will on the integrity of it. A salon quality shampoo and conditioner is an absolute must in my book! Also, less is more! I love a drastic look when a client is ready for one. However, I believe consistency is key with healthy looking hair. I try to keep my clients lifestyle in mind when doing their color/cut to make sure we have nothing less than a successful appointment every time.

Lindsay is in the salon wednesday, thursday, friday, and saturday
