Alan started doing hair officially in 2007, so it’s been about 13 years since he started behind the chair. Before that he was working in a salon doing laundry, answering phones, cutting foils, cleaning, and doing my friends hair after-hours. His first endeavor was with a small salon in Portland, OR.

Still eager to have a better understanding of his craft, he moved to Seattle and got accepted into the Gene Juarez Advanced Training Salon. It was a 5 month long program focusing on color and an additional month of assisting some of the top hair colorists on the West Coast. Since then he has continued to attend many classes from various color and product lines.

What values or goals do you strive for with every client that sees you?

I want everyone who comes into the salon to feel welcomed to feel to leave looking better and feeling better. I pride myself in helping my clients find a look that meets the level of maintenance they are comfortable with. I like to be a resource to my client on beauty advice, from hair to skincare, and even local restaurants.

What do you do for fun?

A little bit about me outside of work, I am married, we live in the neighborhood, and we have 1 sweet, very pampered little dog. We love movies and take out, and spend time with friends and family. We also love traveling and dining out.

alan is in the salon wednesday, friday, and saturday
